Dear Master Obsidian and slave namaste,
Thank you for being with us in Seattle at Leather Reign. I’m new to leather, and that was my first conference.
I couldn’t decide between your session on Authenticity and the one next door on Trust, Loyalty and Devotion. I decided that I needed to be more honest with the people in my life about who I am, so I chose your session.
But, I was not prepared for the profound effect that seeing you two together had on me. It was your interaction with each other as much as what you said, but I also took away a simple checklist–the six pillars. I see them as tools for checking in with myself more than evaluating others, but I guess that will happen automatically in time.
I saw the influence your session had on me just a few hours later, when I told my best friend something I had not been able to tell him for more than 30 years–that I always felt like he controlled our friendship, and that was finally OK with me because I like myself as a sub more and more.
